1) Glykovaný hemoglobin (HbA1c):

2) Směrodatná odchylka (SD) – vyjadřuje glykemickou variabilitu, tedy to, jak moc se glykemie mění. Doporučení je mít směrodatnou odchylku (SD) nižší než 3,5 mmol/l. Důležitý je také variační koeficient (CV), který se vypočítá jako: CV = SD/průměrná glykémie. Variační koeficient by měl být nižší než 36 %.
Příklad výpočtu:
SD dle NS je 3,7 – to je neuspokojivá odchylka při průměrné glykemii 8,6 zjistíme CV výpočtem 3,7/8,6=0,43 což je 43% takže ani variační koeficient nesplňuje kritéria dobré kompenzace.
3) Čas v doporučeném rozmezí (Time In Range) – udržování glykemie mezi 3,9 mmol/l – 10 mmol/l v 75 % času. Pro lepší kompenzaci je ale lepší stanovit přísnější rozmezí mezi 3,9 mmol/l – 7,8 mmol/l.
